This custom Grand Auditorium pairs a natural European spruce top with stunning figured Oregon myrtlewood back and sides, a rarity in the Taylor line. A lightly dusted, shaded chocolate edgeburst stain on the back, sides and mahogany neck offers vintage charm made more lustrous by the full-body gloss finish. The ebony fretboard's Split Diamond boxwood inlays complement the matching rosette, which also features a special boxwood frame with a cocobolo field. Other custom features include chamfered cocobolo body edges, cocobolo body and soundhole binding, a cocobolo heel cap, dark-stained bone bridge pins with red Australian opal dots, and polished bronze Taylor tuners with ebony tuner buttons accented with cocobolo. This model comes equipped with ES2 electronics and the TaylorSense guitar health monitoring system, and includes a deluxe hardshell case.
